start listening
- Connect Google Drive. Sign in directly with Google.
- Select the audio files you want to authorize.
- Tap a song in Library. It highlights and plays after downloading.
- Open Now Playing to seek, shuffle or repeat. The next song plays automatically.
add songs and playlists
Use Add music to select more files through Google. Refresh checks files already authorized; it does not scan your whole Drive. Use the plus beside a song to add it to a playlist. Open Playlists to create lists or reorder playlists and songs, then save the new order.
sorting looks unchanged
Name sorting offers A–Z and Z–A. Date added means when the song entered this app, not its recording date or Drive modification date. Older imports may have no recorded date. Songs imported together use name order when their dates match.
a song will not play
Check your connection, available phone storage and Google access. Files must be downloadable and no larger than 512 MiB. MP3, WAV, M4A/AAC, AIFF and FLAC extensions are accepted as candidates; the encoding must also be supported by iOS. An MP3 or PCM WAV export is a useful alternative.
Playback waits for a file to download. Large files or slow connections can cause delays between songs. Cached audio is temporary, so a saved library does not mean every song is available offline.
Google needs attention
Reconnect through Connections when authorization expires or is revoked. While the app is in Google's testing program, test accounts can require reconnection after seven days. Select files through Google again if they are no longer authorized.
background listening
Start playback before locking your phone or switching apps. Calls, audio interruptions, force-quitting the app and a download that cannot finish can interrupt listening. Resume from the app when needed.
